Hi: I'm looking for a 3D design program for remodelling my 2 floor maisonette. This is just to work out and visualise my broad brush ideas - all technical drawings to buildings regs. etc will be done by an architect/surveyor firm. I'm PC literate but have no experience of CAD. Which version of VB (if any) might fit the following please?

* Ability to import scanned floor plans from architects drawings.

* Create custom rectangular window dormer and door size and designs - it's an old building.

* It would be useful to be able to read CAD format work in progress and ideas drawings from the architect, but graphics format export is fine as he will probably redraw and modify anything I suggest to suit building regs/whatever.

* Is there a chance VB has too steep a learning curve for what I need here? If so, other suggestion please?

Thanks, Max
