Commercial Properties

The commercial property and adjacent buildings can be drawn and calculate where the shadows fall at different times. You can create buildings with (below left) or without detail (left) in order to examine the effect of shadows.

Visual Building Solar Designer is also a comprehensive building design tool capable of creating commercial and residential properties.

Animated shadow video {artsexylightbox}{/artsexylightbox}

Although the shadows cast are not taken into account in any calculations, they do give you a good visual indication of potential problems. An animation sequence can be viewed showing shadows cast at different times of the day and throughout the year.

Note that the shadow video was captured using a screen capture application (such as the free version of CamStudio)
