This tutorial is specific to the Visual Building Solar Designer version.

Visual Building Solar Designer is a specialist product developed for Solar Panel installation companies. It has been developed from the Visual Building Premium version and therefore has all the features as described for Visual Building Premium.

A roof is quickly drawn using Visual Building’s comprehensive roof design tools, and solar panels are simply dragged onto the roof surfaces. Calculations are then performed using the roof details, location, feed in tariff etc to quickly calculate the power and financial benefits generated. Any manufacturer’s solar panel can be added to the catalogue.

To change the compass direction:

 

1) Select 2D Project view

2) In the project tab right click on Environment, and click Select as current element (Environment title turns red)

3) Double click the compass to display the North arrow dialog, where you can change the compass direction.
