I examined the project that you forwarded and see that you have switched off all 2D Graphic elements for the 2D View which includes Text. To reinstate, right click on the 2D view and from the context menu select Visibility. Then in the 2D Graphic elements select Text to enable.

I am using the new ribbon, and for some reason, I'm not able to add text to the drawing, though i've used the feature recently, it seems to be stuck.
Can you advise please.
