Visual Building Download Instructions

If you have received a Visual Building Download email it will contain a link to the Visual Building version you requested. Click on the Visual Building Download link to initiate the download. If you purchased additional modules or catalogues then you get additional download links within the same email. Once you have completed the downloads, first install the Visual Building main version and add-ons afterwards. Our installation program automatically identifies the correct target path and does the rest.

Depending on your Windows System or browser security settings, the download may not complete as expected and the downloaded file cannot be started for installation.

Depending on your browser, the messages may look different in this case. But the principle is always the same.

The browser warns that it does not know about this download package and that it is not commonly downloaded. Unfortunately, it is not known what browsers or Microsoft mean by commonly downloaded.

Although the Visual Building installation packages come with an SSL certificate that clearly identifies the author and manufacturer, such messages still occur from time to time.

So in this case you have to allow the browser to keep and complete the download. Until then, the Visual Building Download package is in an intermediate state and the installer cannot run.

In some browsers the function to keep the download is located directly in the displayed message, in others it is hidden behind a menu, e.g. a menu with three dots.

So let the browser complete the process and then start the Visual Building installation either manually from the download directory or directly by “Open file” in the browser.
