The 2D Graphic view contains the same data as the current sellected 2D view, but you can edit every line. Any edits in the 2D Graphics view are not replicated back into the project.
For example, you can create a 2D section or elevation view, With this view selected as your current view, you will create an identical view, but with the ability to edit every line. Editing the project in the 2D or 3D views will not uppdate the contents of the 2D Graphics view. Removing or editing lines in the 2D Graphic view will not update the oroject in the 2D or 3D views.
It is a very useful tool for showing (or even hiding) specific details in your project and is especially useful when combined with the layout tool.
The New 2D Graphic View tool is located in the View tab in the New Views group.
The 2D Graphic View is avalable in all versions except for the Visual Building Lite version.
