Yes all versions of Visual Building do contain solar panels, but the Solar Designer offers many more features, such as the ability to place an entire array of panels. Only the Solar Designer version performs the required calculations to calculate the power generated from different panels, on different roof pitches, facing and location. The other versions of Visual Building will only give you a visualisation, and the panels would have to be placed individually and not as an array.

I use Visual Building Basic version, which does have solar panels as part of the object library. What am I missing that is available in the Visual Building Solar Designer version? I would like to see what my roof will look like with solar panels, and how many would fit.
