I suspect that you are using the Cut Copy Paste tools from the Edit menu, which is copying the text object (not the text) to the Windows clipboard. Unfortunately the Windows clipboard does not understand this. You can achieve this using the Cut Copy Paste tools in the Text Properties dialog. Doing this you are actually copying the text and not the text object.

You dont need to have two instances of Visual Building running, as it is possible to load both projects into the same instance and copy paste between projects.

While I have your attention.How can I copy data, mostly text description from Project A to Project B. I have a lot of text description that I use on my drawing and I want to include in my next new project. I have tried opening 2 instances of Visual Building but cut and paste does not appear to work between the two instances.
