Measure Polygon Length

You can now measure the length of a polygon, for example the perimeter of a property

This is a new feature for all versions of  Visual Building v4. The tools displays both the total length of the polygon measured and the enclosed area.

All versions of Visual Building support this tool as of release 4.

Quantities

This feature allows you to report surface areas and other measurements within the project.

This is a feature for Visual Building Premium and Visual Building Professional.

Select any element in any view (for example a wall as in the  example project) and the complete specification for that wall is provided in the Quantity window. In addition a complete report of all quantiies used within a project can be reported to screen and also exported as a pdf file.

Measure Angles

Two new tools have been added concerning angles. The dimension toolbar now also includes a angle dimension. The measurement toolbar now also includes an angle measurement. These angle dimension and measurement tools have been added to all versions of Visual Building release 4.

You can now dimension and measure the angle between any two lines

The angle dimension and measurement tools can also be applied to section views.

Roof rafter, purlin and beam editing

With Visual Building Premium you can now edit, move, delete and add the timber construction within the roof.
