A couple of more clues on this one - when I compare views with the project tree, there appear to be 'ghosts' in the system - sometimes I see structures in views that are not shown as visible in the project tree, or simply don't exist in the tree in the only open view. The deletion wizard shows differing layers when compared to the project tree,

How do I recover from this please? Two screen shots attached showing the anomalies.... project follows by email.
