I'm not sure where the difficulty is. I created the above using Visual Building Basic using the standard dormer tool. The dormer can be moved once placed, so it may take several attempts to get the correct position and size. Use Save/Load Project or Undo / Redo to try out placements. With Visual Building Premium v4 you also have the option to construct the dormer roof, using the new Merge Roof feature, though there is more work involved than using the standard dormer tool. |

How can we produce a dormer roof as in the attached Jpeg. The ridge tiles on the bedroom dormer roof cut into the main roof a few feet below the main ridge tiles. This picture is from a dormer bungalow but many local Victorian terraced houses have a similar arrangement but with a flat roof, mainly for the rear bedrooms.
