Yes you could create as a 3D object. There are 2 kinds of 3D objects either save as a .cyg object or as a 3D Construction object. I prefer the .cyg.

Regarding the stacks. There should be no problem creating chimney breasts in the rooms but in these older victorian terraced houses the front and rear room breasts run into the loft space and then bend/merge into a single, large stack. Would this need to be modelled as a 3D model and saved to the catalogue for further use and/or resized as required ?

The Chimney tool is only suitable for creating a stack that does not change in size throughout its height. I have a stack that varies in height, being thicker at the base and had to resolve by creating a 3D object using the 3D tools.

This could be achieved in the same way we describe "Creating an Inglenook" in the Visual Building Training course. Chapter 9.

Apologies if I've missed this in your tutorial video's.

How do you build a chimney stack that goes through the roof line. Either centrally at the apex of the ridge tiles or offset as some are.

Many terraced house where I live have a shared 8 pot stack, approx 5'-00" x 2'-00", 4 pots per house.
