Most users forget they can use layers and end up placing the imported plan on the floor plan. Its best to create a new layer (e.g call it Bitmap Plan) and transfer your imported plan to this new layer. (Right click on image and select Move to layer) . Its now easier to hide / show the plan simply by toggling the layer in the Project tree.

Now create another new layer (e.g call it Guidelines). Any guidelines that you now add to this layer will be in front of the imported bitmap.

I have followed the tutorials and seen how to import a plan saved as a bitmap. I have rescaled this correctly and now want to add guidelines to the plan in order to help snap my walls to the imported plan. However my guidelines are hidden behind the imported plan and and although I can snap to them, I cant see what guideline I am snapping to. How can I make my guidelines visible over the plan?
