Grid in 3D View 20 Dec 2013 10:21 #1157

This is very east to achieve. Create or obtain a texture with a grid. In this example we will uses a texture size of 1m square, and place it in the texture folder so that we can locate it in the catalogue.

Re size the Environment block for example to 10m square. In the 3D view, drag the new grid texture onto the environment block. You can change the grid offset by right clicking on the environment block (must be your current layer( and select Properties. This will activate the Area properties where you can change the block size and the X and Y offset.

You can also apply such a grid to individual room and wall surfaces.

In the above example our grid image consists of a single red square, which repeated 10 times on the environment block..

In the above example her we have added the grid image to the room floor.

In the above example her we have added the grid image to the exterior walls.

In the above example her we have added the grid image to a 2D surface area defined using the 2D surface editor
