You can either print to a pdf file and then print the pdf file at a reduced scale to your printer.

or

When printing directly to your A4 printer, when you have the preview selection block, press the Esc key and the entire 2D view will be printed to the A4 sheet- but you will lose the set scaling.

The scale of my 2D view is such that it is too large to fit onto a single A4 sheet. Using the print preview feature I can select the portion of the drawing to be printed. Is there any way that I can force the entire sheet to be printed, although I appreciate I will lose the scaling?
