In that particular tutorial it is suggested that a partition wall is selected, this is misleading if you are advocating the use of a different wall type.

I am now unsure whether to follow the tutorials to the letter or not.

The project you supplied is below. The bad wall connects are marked red, the good wall connect is green. The exterial wall connects are all good:



As you stated, you have used a Partition wall type, which is a special type of wall. Use a different wall type as you did with the good wall connect. (see User manual 15.1.1 and 4.2.3). The Partition wall type is reserved for the cases where you do NOT want to split a room into two separate rooms.

Me again. All things going reasonably well but I am not making good wall connections. I'm going over and over the video tutorial and can't see what I am doing wrong. Whatever I do I don't get the individual room numbers appearing.

I am watching tutorial 2 Part 1 - setting up the project.
I am trying to make the wall connection with the partition wall tool.

Any tips would be gratefully received.
