Yes they will continue to work in existing projects, the actual window size and details did not change- only the parameter names were translated.

Re: Windows 22 Apr 2012 09:04 #231

Will these new windows still work with existing projects, or will I need to insert the windows again?

There are two windows tools available. The first tool called “Windows” simply allows you to change the window dimensions and hinge details of the standard windows in the catalogue.

The second tool called “Window Construction” allows you to perform more detailed editing of a window. In this tool catalogue you will find a single casement with fanlight / top opener that can be edited as required. Placing 3 of these single casements together should then give you your desired look of 3 casements.

Both window tools are available in all versions of the software, and the Window Construction is the preffered tool of use. The first tool described is supplied for compatabiliy reasons.

Windows can be created and added to the Window catalogue using the Windows Construction Editor supplied with Visual Building Professional and upwards. The Windows Construction Editor will allow you to create almost any window design.

This latter tool also includes a tab “materials” that will allow you to change the colour materials of various components. You can also drag a texture / material directly onto a window component in 3D view.

Is it possible to edit a 3 sash casement window to add top openers?
Also is it possible to change the colour of window?
