Concerning the roof: There are two methods to achieve this.
1. Even a single floor house (eg a bungalow) does in fact have 2 floors the ground floor and the attic floor. So create a new floor called attic and add the roof to the attic floor. This is the method shown in the following video at 4:39. 2. Alternatively you can change the height of your roof. With the roof selected, double click the roof and the Roof Construction properties panel will display. You can the adjust the height of the roof with the value Move roof level by: . Enter a value and click Apply. The roof will then adjust when you exit the dialog when you click OK. Concerning the raised elevation of the house. You can create a floor that is 1m high and has nothing on it except the supports and your actual building sits on the next floor. The floor height can be changed by right clicking the floor in the Projects panel, select Properties in the context menu and change the Rough height (default 2.8m) to 1m. Note that in this dialog you can also raise the height of the floor with a value in Level. |

Hello. Please reply via email as I am overseas thank you. I have a floor plan of a single floor house and am trying to add a roof. The roof created covers the house ie it does not sit on the walls. That is the basic issue. I will also want the roof to extend over the terrace which has supports in its corners A separate and more minor point is that the house needs to be 1m off the ground. I have built it on a plateau but I think there must be a better / correct way to do this. Please advise. Thanks for your help.
