To ensure the internal wall aligns with the existing wall, I would place a guide line along the existing wall (it will snap to wall). Then place the internal wall along the quideline, using Ctrl +W keys to define the snapping point of the new wall.
Use Ctrl + W keys while placing wall to define where the new wall snaps to

You should also set the width of the new wall before placing it.

To remove the room names:
Double click on room to activate the room properties.
Select Labelling
Deselect Name

I am having problems with the alignment of an internal wall.

Please tell me how I can make internal walls of my selected widths run from the internal face of the external wall.

Also I can’t delete the wording ROOM 1, ROOM2 etc, I’ve tried Edit/ delete but nothing happens.
