You can use Visual Buildings own 2D drawing features to create a 2D line drawing or import a 2D detail drawing from other sources. This import is achieved via 2D Graphic tool (on Plugin tool bar) - Insert Bitmap. The import is then displayed alongside the 2D view and/or section drawing.
There are some example 2D drawing with such detail in the 2D Gallery .

This is applicable to all versions of Visual Building.

Should it be needed, is it possible to use a single line drawing function to show precise detail and also add dimensions and explanatory text. For example where components in a loft conversion (RSJ's) meet the existing structure. I seem to recall from somewhere that on architectural plans showing fine detail at the positions where girders etc are stitched into the existing masonary and what, if any, packing is used ie slate.
